Clutch Shoe Tool

Simplifies clutch removal and installation!

The Clutch Shoe Tool‘s ingenious design removes and installs clutch shoes in just 3 easy steps.

• A flange lifts the spring up and out of the way with a simple turn; a lever hooks onto the clutch, allowing modelers to pull it straight out.
  
  
• By rotating the lever 90°, the hook is replaced with a bar that pushes the shoe straight in for quick installation.
  
  
• Works with the HPI Savage clutch and other aftermarket 2-, 3- and 4-shoe clutches.

INSTALLATION

1. Place the clutch shoe and spring onto the outer edge of the flywheel pin. Slide the clutch shoe tool onto the pilot shaft.

2.Position the tool‘s curved metal tab between the pilot shaft and clutch shoe. Rotate the handle counter clockwise until the curved tab is seated between the pilot shaft and clutch spring.

3. Fold the tool bringing the flat side of the lever to the face of the clutch shoe. Slide the handle towards the flywheel to position the clutch shoe and spring. Rotate the handle clock wise until the metal tab slips from between the spring and pilot shaft and remove the tool.

REMOVAL

1. Slide the clutch shoe tool onto the pilotshaft and position the curved metal tab between the pilot shaft and clutch shoe. Rotate the handle counter clockwise until the curved tab is seated between the pilot shaft and clutch spring.

2. Fold the tool and hook the lever to the clutch shoe.

3. Pull the handle away from the flywheel. The clutch shoe and spring will slide away from the flywheel.
